You know that Tesla's "robotaxi" pilot is just remote safety drivers, right? It is going to be functionally no different from the current technology. The only difference is the "hands always on the wheel ready to takeover" is occurring remotely.
Yeah of course. That's a good way to start a robotaxi rollout. Autopilot is not nearly as low on interventions as eg waymo driver -- orders of magnitude off -- but it can still handle many autonomous driving scenarios very well.

Yeah waymo has been really impressive. I think the hype for robotics is slowly blowing up though, will probably boil over next year
